Co-design workshops: Renewing our public spaces

  • Forum Cafe Wretham Place,Newcastle upon Tyne, England NE2 1XU United Kingdom (map)

Community members have put forward lots of suggestions for how to improve public spaces in Shieldfield. More benches, better lighting, wider pavements, insect friendly planting, gathering spaces, fitness facilities, better cyclepaths, less litter, more colour… the list goes on!

Now, together we will decide what’s most important and what’s realistic.

These fun, creative workshop will focus on one location in Shieldfield - the area surrounding the multi-use-games-area (MUGA) on Napier Street.  We want to create finished designs to improve this area so that we can apply for funding to make it happen.

Friday 7 February, 10am - 12pm

We will add detail to the designs, thinking about scale, colour, shape, textures that compliment our ‘Shieldfield style’. Meet at Forum Cafe, 26 Wretham Place.

The workshop will start and end indoors. Some of the sessions will happen outside so dress for the weather. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
