In celebration of Dwellbeing’s second birthday, come and plant sunflower seeds that have been saved from last year. Share some birthday cake and add your birthday to our birthday book.
Before sunflowers and cake, join us for a Neighbourhood Care Walkaround, 12.30 - 2pm. Read more.
This event also marks Earth Day and coincides with special events at The NewBridge Project as part of their current exhibition, home-rearing. From 2-5pm you can drop-in and join SAN North East co-lead artist Sarah Li to share and develop ideas about making social / social art more environmentally sustainable and less human centric. Read more on The NewBridge Project website.
Our annual sunflower planting is part of Shieldfield Grows, a programme of activity that seeks to promote sustainable food production, fair land usage and community flourishing. Developed as a collaboration between Dwellbeing Shieldfield and Shieldfield Art Works, Shieldfield Grows is also a part of Shieling, a programme of activity about growing and public space improvements initiated by Dwellbeing.
