Planting a wildflower meadow

  • Napier Street Shieldfield Newcastle upon Tyne, England United Kingdom (map)

Join artist Sara Cooper to plant a special wildflower meadow to reimagine Shieldfield’s historical and future landscapes. Help to create a living artwork that will flower every year. The meadow will be planted in the outline of one of Shieldfield's historic water mills which was once on the banks of the Pandon Dene - a river which now lies underneath the Central Motorway.

Come along for the whole day or pop by for a little bit. All gardening tools and gloves will be provided.

Wear clothes suitable for digging soil. You’ll be able to find us next to the multi-use games area (MUGA).
